RPR concave system is used earlier but the threshing angle is very small and it becomes very difficult to thresh crops like barley. When coming to bars, RPR bars are very hard and XPR bars are very large. While compared to RPR concaves, the threshing angle is larger to XPR concaves, so that it can thresh all types of crops.

Hard thresh JD concaves bars are tougher, they are continuous. Round bar JD concaves are designed for some particular crops. They are peas, soya bean etc. Regular thresh JD concaves bars are continuous.
